Large enough to meet all your financial needs.
Small enough to know your name when you call.

You need a firm that's proactive - one that cares about your business as much as you do, understands that every penny counts, and anticipates and solves your problems before they happen. You need a firm that is part of your problem-solving team. A firm that's not there just at tax time. Not just there when you seek an opinion, but there for you every day, thinking about your business and your needs and how the rapidly changing environment may impact you. Bringing thoughts and suggestions before you need them, and before you think to ask.

Schoenfeld Mendelsohn Goldfarb LLP (SMG) has been in business 40 years. SMG began with the goal of providing financial services to businesses that could not afford in-house staff, and to support entrepreneurs who needed financial guidance as they began their businesses. Today, although SMG has grown and has many larger clients with their own in-house staffs, we remain committed to offering the same high-quality service to all our clients, big and small. We are proud that some companies have been clients almost as long as the firm has existed. As the years have gone by, and times have changed, SMG has kept itself a relevant and important asset to its clients' businesses.

As a full-service accounting firm, SMG is large enough to handle all of a client's needs, from the preparation of corporate and personal income taxes to the complex intricacies of forensic accounting, and everything in-between. Yet it is small enough to provide very personalized attention. At SMG the clients and partners know each other. These are hands-on partners, not distant strangers in faraway corporate boardrooms. When a client calls SMG, everyone knows who they are.

The SMG partners are well-known around New York State and the nation as staunch defenders of the integrity of their profession. Two have served as President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners. The partners testify frequently before legislative bodies and serve on committees in their effort to keep the accounting profession at its traditional high level of integrity and independence.
