Herbert
Schoenfeld, CPA, the managing partner of the firm, is
an expert auditor who helps clients develop internal control
systems. Accounting Today, the newspaper of the accounting
profession, calls him “one of the 100 most influential accountants
in the United States.” He is frequently quoted in such publications
as Newsday and The New York Times, and he appears regularly
on local radio and TV programs. Herb, a graduate of Baruch
College, has been in the field for 45 years. A former President
of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, Herb also
belongs to the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants
and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He and his wife Gloria live in Massapequa Park, New York.

Harvey
H. Mendelsohn, CPA, specializes in personal asset management,
helping clients develop investment and tax strategies. He’s
also an expert in bankruptcy, and frequently consults with
law firms and accounting firms on complex bankruptcy matters.
A graduate of Baruch College, Harvey has been in accounting
for 43 years. He is a member of the National Conference of
CPA Practitioners, American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, and The New York State Society of Certified Public
Accountants. Harvey and his wife Roslyn reside in Plainview,
New York. |

Robert
L. Goldfarb, CPA, is a certified financial planner,
a certified fraud examiner, and the tax partner in the firm.
He often is called upon to examine books when there are
questions of fraud. He is an expert at helping small businesses
succeed, and was “Businessperson of the Year” recently for
his service while president of the Great Neck Chamber of
Commerce. Bob was Tax Manager of a major accounting firm
and then headed his own firm before joining SMG. President
of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners.
Bob is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, Diplomate of
the American Board of Forensic Accounting, a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a
member of the New York State Society of Certified Public
Accountants. Author of six books, Bob holds degrees from
Hofstra University, Pace University and Adelphi University,
where he serves as a senior adjunct professor. He lives
with wife Linda in East Meadow, New York.

Patricia
A. Weiss, CPA, specializes in estate planning, auditing,
business valuations and tax planning. Pat is the firm’s expert
in new accounting technology, helping the firm and its clients
make the most of the computer revolution. She left as a partner
of another accounting firm to join SMG in 1993 and become
an SMG partner in 1998. She’s a member of the National Conference
of CPA Practitioners, the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified
Public Accountants. She and her husband Robert live in Plainview,
